My Therapeutic Approach
I meet you where you are, and we work from there in a way that fits for you (instead of using a cookie-cutter approach with everyone). I work to make a meaningful difference in your life.
I want you to feel comfortable in your session. I’ve made an effort to make my office inviting, and I’ve located it in a nice building—I think it matters.
Trust is another part of the therapy process. I may be the best therapist in my specialty, but if our personalities don’t fit, your therapy won’t be as effective. I join with you where you are, and if we don’t blend well, I help you find a better match
Why I Do This
I completely changed my career in 1998 because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. Working with men in addiction recovery and helping couples make their relationship better than it ever was helps me feel like what I do matters!
The best decision I ever made was asking my wife to marry me. The joy I’ve known with my wife and kids surpasses all else, and my passion is to help others realize that kind of happiness and contentment in their lives. I do that by addressing addiction problems, relationship difficulties, challenges that men face, and common questions that people struggle with.
Torrance, California has always been my home (one of the few natives left). I enjoy photographing our beautiful and diverse surroundings as a hobby (see below). I’m always reading something to learn or for sheer entertainment. I look forward to inviting each new client into my Torrance therapy practice, whether in person or virtually through video sessions.
