Depending on your insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please call the number on your insurance card to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- What are my out-of-network mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
I have chosen not to be on insurance panels because I believe neither clients nor therapists are well-served by them. I will support your decision if you choose to be reimbursed by your insurance company. If that is the case, I will provide a “superbill” which includes dates of service and the special codes required by the insurance company. You will simply sign, date, and mail it to the address on your insurance card for claims. They will send you a check directly.
I accept cash, check and all major credit cards as forms of payment. For tele-therapy, I accept credit cards through Ivy Pay; you will receive a text message with a link where you’ll enter your own card info and receive text confirmations every time session charges go through. Your card will be charged the morning of your appointment (see Cancellation Policy below).
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. I set aside the time for only you. If I don’t get notice, I can’t see another client during that time, so your charge the morning of your appointment stands unless we can make other arrangements. When available, I will happily schedule a makeup session during the same week (Monday to Saturday).
